lyrics
She's come to take you in
To start the earth again
She'll have you at her feet
The oceans start to bleed
And every word she said could burn through yours ears
Her echos thundering back
She brings the morning like a storm dressed all in orange before you
Such a mysterious masque
You've heard it all before (dissolve to explore)
She's left you wanting more (won't be forgotten or destroyed)
It's a familiar feel (the feeling appears)
The fear you've made her real
The clouds appeared like melted mirrors at her alter
I see myself looking back
And if you find that you've designed her in your mind, confine her.
The feelings gone in a flash
You should think of the cycle
Everyone that you know
Such a similar story
And again it will go
You should think of the cycle
Everyone that you know
Such a sinister story
And again it will go
And again it will go
Mt Mountajn, for all of their distinctiveness, still continue to progress and evolve their sound. This is a sinewy, slightly leaner beast than previous releases. The songs are briefer, slightly more melodic; perhaps the influence of Stephen Bailey’s solo explorations?
The songs are still iterations of tension and gloom. Mt Mountain have honed their music into a uniquely powerful form of minimalist psychedelic brutalism. Theirs is a menacing, looping drone, always threatening to explode. Michael Mueller
